Cassy Kelly

I am running in the 2026 EMF 5K for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚

I’ve seen first-hand, both personally and at work, the incredible care and support Macmillan gives to people facing cancer. They truly make a difference when it matters most.

I’d love your support to help me raise as much as possible for this amazing cause. Every donation, big or small, goes a long way!

Please donate if you can

Thank you so much!

Jacqui Mills

I’m taking on my biggest running challenge yet – a half marathon!

In previous years, I’ve been part of relay teams, running distances between 7–14km. This time, I’m stepping well outside my comfort zone and going the full half marathon distance. It’s a huge personal milestone for me and definitely the toughest run I’ve ever attempted.

I’m doing this not just for the challenge, but to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan, a charity that provides incredible support to people affected by cancer. Their work makes a real difference to so many lives, and I want to do my part to help.

Training hasn’t been easy, but knowing the cause I’m running for keeps me going. Every donation, big or small, will help motivate me through those tough miles and make a meaningful impact.

Emily Christopher

Emily is running the half marathon to raise much-needed funds for Macmillan. Few people have not heard of Macmillan, and so many have relied on its support, with demand continuing to grow every year. At times, everything happening in the world can feel overwhelming, but taking part in fundraising activities like those organised by Showcase is one small way to make a difference.

I cannot fix everything, but I can attempt to run a half marathon and raise £300! That contribution could have a real and meaningful impact on the life of someone living with cancer and needing support at a difficult time.

5k Challenge

Hazel Irvine

Hazel is really looking forward to running the 5k in Edinburgh Marathon Festival on Sat 23rd May raising much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. She loves the support from everyone on the streets and describes it as a surreal amazing experience and one of her highlights of the year.

She ran her first relay of the EMF ten years ago. Her training is going really well with her new PT. She is really looking forward to running in addition to performing in the September show doing what she loves with people she loves raising funds for such an important cause to saves lives and what’s more important than that!
